New source for California emigration storytelling

From Jean-François de Buren, United States

I have started writing stories of Swiss emigrants to California for the blog Helvetic.LA. I would love to hear your family story!

I am enclosing my first post of my Swiss grandfather who came to California in 1923 from Geneva. http://helveticla.wordpress.com/2010/07/24/from-geneva-to-tranquility/

  1. You would be interested in the family histories included in the first edition of the Stanislaus County Swiss Club. http://www.stanislausswissclub.com/ A new edition is being planned. I wrote stories about the Luchessa and Martella families. Please contact me if you would like more information. Both sets of grandparents are Swiss Italian, so I have information about Brughelli, Martella, Luchess, and Genardini.

  2. Hello…I have been looking for info about the Luchessa family. My grandmother was a Luchessa. I have a picture of the Brughelli house in Gilroy, cal. Please contact me if you have any interest.
